Bangladesh has won a historic Test series against Pakistan, that too in Pakistan’s Rawalpindi ground. Bangladesh has won the Test series against Pakistan for the first time.
In the first test, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl and Pakistan scored 448-6 in the 1st innings. In reply, Bangladesh scored 565-10 runs in which Mushfiqur Rahim played a brilliant innings of 191 runs and helped his team to score a good score. Supporting him, Hasan Miraz played an innings of 77 runs. Both of them together made a good partnership which helped Bangladesh to score 565 runs.
In the 2nd innings, Pakistan was all out for 146-10 in which Muhammad Rizwan scored 51 runs with the help of Pakistan was able to score 146 runs. Apart from Rizwan, no other player from Pakistan was able to bat well in the 2nd Innings.
In the 2nd innings, Bangladesh needed 30 runs to win which Bangladesh easily scored and won the first test match in this 2 Test series.
In the 1st test match, Rizwan scored 171 runs in the 1st innings and 51 runs in the 2nd innings. Muhammad Rizwan scored a total of 222 runs in the 1st test match. Rizwan gave a very good performance.
The 2nd test match was being played at Rawalpindi ground in which Bangladesh again won the toss and decided to field first. Pakistan was all out at 274-10 runs in the 1st innings in which Shan Masood and Sam Ayub together made a partnership of 107 runs due to which Pakistan managed to score 274 runs.
Bangladesh scored 262-10 runs in the 1st innings of the 2nd test in which they lost 26-6 wickets initially. Then Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz both made a partnership of 165 runs and helped Bangladesh to score 262 runs in which Litton Das scored 138 runs and Miraz scored 78 runs.
In the 2nd innings of the 2nd test, Pakistan again performed poorly and were all out for 172-10 runs with Rizwan scoring 43 runs and Agha Salman scoring 47 runs. In this innings, Bangladesh’s young talented fast bowler Hasan Mahmud gave the best bowling performance by taking 5 wickets for 43 runs in 10.4 overs.
Now in the second test match Bangladesh needed 185 runs to win and on the 4th day of the 2nd test due to bed light stumps had to be done early so Bangladesh had 1 day to score 185 runs which was enough because scoring 185 runs in 1 day was not enough and they had 10 wickets. Bangladesh easily scored 185 runs and made a historical victory in Rawalpindi against Pakistan in their own home.
Litton das got the player of the match award. Das played a brilliant innings of 138 runs in the 2nd test match in which he hit 13 fours and 4 sixes which helped his team to score 262 runs. Player of the series award went to Mehidy Hasan Miraz who took 5 wickets and scored 77 runs in the 1st test match and took 5 wickets and scored 78 runs in the 2nd test match.

“Extremely disappointed, we were excited for the home season. The story has been the same as Australia, we have not learnt or lesson. We taught we were playing good cricket in Australia but not doing the job, that’s something we need to work on. It has happened 4 times in my tenure that the we have left the team back into the contest when we were dominating. I think Test cricket demands something else in terms of fitness.
