Today was the first day of the test match between India and Bangladesh in which there was a lot of pressure on India in the starting overs.
Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl first and this decision proved to be right. Team India’s captain Jaiswal came to bat with him and from Bangladesh’s side Hasan Mahmud was brought in to bowl. India’s first wicket fell in the form of Rohit Sharma. At that time India had 14 runs and 1 wicket at 5.1 Overs.
After that Shubman Gill came and he got out after scoring 0 runs on 8 balls and this was Hasan Mahmud’s second wicket. After that Virat Kohli came and he too could not do anything special and got out after scoring 6 runs and this was Hasan Mahmud’s 3rd wicket. And with this India’s score became 34 runs 3 wickets 9.2 Overs.
After that Rishabh Pant came to support Jaiswal and together they made a partnership of 62 runs which was needed by India. And then Hasan Mahmud came to bowl and got Rishabh Pant out, then India’s score was 96/4 and this was Hasan Mahmud’s 4 wickets. After that Rahul came and made a partnership of 48 runs with Jaiswal in which Rahul had 16 runs and Jaiswal had 19 runs. After that India lost 5 wickets at 144 runs. After some time Jaiswal also got out after playing an amazing innings. Jaiswal made 56 runs in 118 balls and now India’s score was 144/6 and Ashwin and Jadeja were on the pitch.
India needed a partnership and if the partnership is not formed then India will be far behind in this test match and this is what happened, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin together made a partnership of 195 runs in which Jadeja scored 86 runs and Ashwin scored 102 runs, both batted brilliantly which made Team India a strong side in this test match.
Ashwin scored 7 test centuries which was much needed for India and this partnership was also much needed. By scoring 102 runs Ashwin proved that he is not just a number 1 bowler but also a good all rounder. Ravindra Jadeja is also close to his century and maybe he will also complete his century tomorrow and batting on the pitch tomorrow will also be easy, so maybe both of them can play longer.
