India vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODIs Scorecard match was being played in Colombo at R Premadassa Stadium. What happened on the pitch of this ground that ODI number 1 could not score 240 and Sri Lanka’s spinner Jeffrey Vandersay who is a right arm Legbreak took 6 wickets against India.

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first and while batting first, Sri Lanka made 240 runs in which their wickets fell early and the lower order batsman Kamindu Mendis and his partner Dunith Wellallage both made a partnership of 72 runs which helped Sri Lanka to put up a great total. Rohit Sharma came in the 2nd innings and as soon as he came he started playing in his style, he started playing like he always plays and played a captaincy innings, scoring 64 runs in 44 balls and gave a good start to India. Shubman Gill was with him who was playing very slow but he also played a good innings, scoring 35 runs in 44 balls. Rohit Sharma gets out at 97 runs of Team India. Vandersay takes his first wicket in the form of Rohit Sharma, after that Shubman Gill gets out after scoring 35 runs, then Team India was at 116/2 overs 17.1.

Sri Lankan spinner Jeffrey Vandersay got the Player of the Match award who took 6 wickets and conceded 33 runs in 10 overs and this was the best performance of his life. He took 6 wickets against a team which is considered to be the strongest team in the world. Now it is expected that Team India will give a good performance in the next match and will level this ODI series 1-1.

Perhaps in the next match you may see changes in the Indian team. Rishabh Pant may replace KL Rahul and Riyan Parag may make his international ODI debut in place of Shivam Dubey. In bowling, you may see Khaleel Ahmed in place of Washington Sundar. This can be a possibility.
